Dharma clients can connect Enrollment and Intervention projects to one another. An enrollment project can be connected to one or multiple intervention projects.

When setting up projects, you can select that the  project be set up as an enrollment project or an intervention project.

  • To enable case management:
    • Project Parameters should be set to single point.
  • When creating enrollment or intervention projects :
    • toggle the attribute for either enrollment or intervention.

1.     For enrollment projects: toggle ‘Use this project as a referenced enrollment project’ under Additional Configurations.

2.     For intervention projects: toggle the enrollment project of your choice under ‘Enrollment Projects Available to Reference’

In an Enrollment project, there must be a field that is designated as the Primary Key. This is the value that is referenced by intervention records.

The Primary Key will be a required field and admins will NOT be able to toggle the required attribute to false once data has been collected.

The Primary Key can be a single field or a concatenation of fields.

1)     Single Field example:

2)     Concatenated field example:

  • There is a question type available on the web app - Concat

  • This field is available on enrollment projects as a primary key.

  • You must include at least 2 values for this field type.

  • Only required fields are available to include in a concatenated field. You must click “Save and Push to Mobile” for the fields to display as available.

  • Available fields to include in the concatenation are: Multiple Choice (single select or multi-select), Open Response, Yes/No, Number, and Date.

  • To add fields to the concatenation just start typing the name of the field and select it.

In an intervention project, when creating questions in the Form Builder, the very first question should be something along the lines of “Who are you following up with?” and the response type should be ‘Reference’.

Below is what this question will look like to the data collectors on the Data page of the web app. (User experience on mobile is also very similar): they will first select the individual to follow-up with and continue with the remaining questions in the form. When the list of individuals starts getting long, simply start typing any part of the individual’s concat ID for a faster search.
